DISCLAIMER: IF YOU DONT LIKE HEARING THE TRUTH, STOP READING.
So today, i was doing my normal social rounds and reading articles online. I stumbled on a story of a student who had an affair with a married man and got pregnant. Unfortunately, the man denied it to the point of claiming that his children are adopted (I hope he is telling truth or else….). Then i scroll to the comment section and what do i see? Insults and curses.
I’m not saying she did the right thing but must we be quick to judge? Seriously, one of our major problems in the world is our swift judgement on people. On a normal day, i would join the band wagon and criticise her ( i am human) but i stopped to ask myself this question: What would I have done if i had found myself in the situation that led to her predicament? Trust me, spectators find it easier to see when people make mistakes but when they find themselves on the “HOT SEAT” they’ll probably do worse. Even Jesus said, “he who is without sin, cast the first stone”.
Wanna know what hurts me more, the people who were raining curses are actually christians. Nobody is perfect. Everybody makes mistakes. Even the bible tells us not to be quick to judge. Christianity is about love and forgiveness. She has definitely gotten her bad karma. We should strive to help her to be a better person not tear her down.
Moral Lesson: Don’t be quick to judge. When people make mistakes, we should help them to be better rather than tear them down.
